Interruption Public House & Brewery to Open in O’Fallon, Missouri
A new community-focused brewery preparing to open in Spring 2026
O’FALLON, MO — December 15, 2025 — Interruption Public House & Brewery, a new craft brewery and taproom rooted in community, creativity, and story-driven brewing, is preparing to open its doors in Spring 2026. Interruption Public House & Brewery will assume operations at 330 Sonderen St. on January 1, 2026, as Good News Brewing concludes its use of the building on December 31, 2025.
Interruption Public House & Brewery is founded by longtime friends and brewers Matt Fair and Donnie Cochran, whose shared passion for craft beer and genuine community connection has shaped the vision for the new taproom. Interruption is co-owned by Matt and his fiancée, Laura Meyer, and by Donnie and his wife, Jen Cochran. Together, the four bring a shared vision shaped by years of friendship, family connection, and commitment to creating a welcoming neighborhood gathering place.
As part of this transition, Matt Fair will be stepping away from Good News Brewing at the end of 2025, allowing co-founder Dan Tripp to fully pursue his vision for GNB moving forward. Matt and Donnie saw an opportunity to bring their own shared dream to life — a community-focused establishment they could build, shape, and grow alongside their families. Interruption Public House & Brewery is the result of that dream, blending their combined brewing experience with a desire to create a warm, inviting place for friends, families, and neighbors.
“I never imagined that a simple homebrew hobby in the garage would grow into lifelong friendships, a business partnership, and a community that feels like family. Interruption is our chance to share that feeling — a place where the doors are open, the beers are flowing, and everyone belongs.”
— Donnie Cochran, Co-Founder
The brewery’s name is inspired by the idea that the best moments in life often come from unexpected pauses — the unplanned stories, shared pints, and spontaneous connections that turn a simple stop into something meaningful.
“Partnering with Interruption allows me to return to a single-location brewery model where community and connection come first. I’m energized by the opportunity to build a warm, inviting environment with expanded food and drink options, and I look forward to continuing to innovate both in brewing and in developing artisanal sodas.”
— Matt Fair, Co-Founder
Interruption will feature an inclusive beverage menu designed for a wide range of tastes — from thoughtfully crafted beers to approachable options for guests who prefer something lighter, non-alcoholic, or spirit-based. The taproom will also offer a small, curated food menu that complements the drinking experience without overwhelming it, focusing on quality, comfort, and simplicity.
Renovations to the space are planned for early 2026 to refresh the aesthetic and bring the Interruption vision to life. As the team prepares for launch, construction updates, beer previews, and the full origin-story series will be shared on the brewery’s social channels and website.
